In Brief, there is considerable talent in the UK, but sometimes
it goes unnoticed-or goes abroad-because it doesn't receive the
right support at the right time.
NESTA (the Natonal Endowmwnt for Science, Technology and the Arts)
was established in 1998 by Act of Parlaiment to help change that.
NESTA was given £200 million from the National Lottery funds
and uses the interest on this endowment to invest in the UK's talent,
innovation and creativity. NESTA is the UK's only endowment.
